Default Its alive!

well guys as you all know by now i bought a 99 cc. it had been sitting in a guys garage for a year. the batteries were bone dry. i shot up to the golf cart repair shop and bought a set of bateries and some replacement cables (the ones on it were eaten through), turned the key, hit the peddle, and of i went. my wife and i limped down my gravel driveway(about 1k foot long) with a flat tire for our maiden voyage. now its parked and hooked to the charger. im taking the motor out tuesday and sending it to PQ. ill be ordering my lift Sunday. so far no snags! i hope it keeps going this smoothly. I was expecting something to be wrong tonight to be honest. i guess the cart gods are smiling on me....for now.

New Batts? Be sure to follow the break in guide in the stickies. Real important to do it right - too expensive to do it wrong. How about some before and after pics?

I'm not sure how the regens are bolted to the drive gears but probably the same as the series. If it isn't obvious call Ricky or Booby at PQ, they will talk you through it as it can be siezed on the spline and take a little work to wiggle off. While its off, pull the oil drain on the drive gear and drain the oil. There are three bolts for this. One is the drain, the other is higher up and serves as the full indicator (oil drips out when full, and the third is on the top for filling. Use a good quality synthetic oil too. This is what you'll be seeing: The axle without the motor (the plastic was to keep it dry when I was cleaning the frame), the new pq installed and a cart that has a 6" lift and 23" tires.
