Rear axle sealing surface???
So i just bought an 88 ezgo gas marathon (been sitting for a while) that i am doing a engine swap into. I took the driven clutch off because it is going to be converted to a chain drive and noticed that where the seal rides is pitted with rust. it looks like a bushing that can be replaced but no luck finding it. Does anyone have any ideas? and no it can not be sanded smooth pitting is too deep.

Re: Rear axle sealing surface???
I’ve used a few of these before on larger shaft seals.
https://www.skf.com/us/products/seal...eve/index.html They can be a bit pricey but might be cheaper/easier than machining to restore the seal journal. |
