Default FIRST BUILD - Fitting 8 batteries where only 6 fit

So im making progress on my vary first cart. Decided to go with 48v conversion but didnt want the ugly look of bateries in the bagwell. Plus not wanting the added weight behind the axel, cuz i plan on making my own rear seat! So i came up with a way to fit them all under the seat with at least 1/4 gap between batteries. Let me know what u think!

Other parts of my build to come! My list of goodies will include:

FSIP 700amp tunable controller....Hopefully its on its way
2 guage cable set up
HD F&R Switch
8 - US2200 Baterries
Digital Batt metter
SS key plate....Hopefully its on its way
Protech 48v charger
Headlights tailights
Custom Kandy Paint Job
Custom Interior

Yes, I like the looks of this, I may someday do a 48 v conversion and I too do not want to use my bagwell for batteries.

You could change the F&R pivot shaft to an earlier yr that would accept a shifter handle.

PM sent re controller.

western has built quite a few carts with 8- 6v installed just like yours, they put the controller on the right side wheel well. i had one of these and had to replace the curtis controller 5 times, also the frame flexed and would break the uprights that held the top on in the bagwell, it was really quick though. kirk

Your Series TXT cart uses a linkage rod between the Handle and the Switch mounted on the floor under the pass seat. Earlier Marathon carts used a direct handle with a different pivot rod.

Or you could build a shifter console to house the F&R in the center like this old Shuttle has. Western used this idea too.

Are 6 8 volt batteries that much shorter in run time? I'm a noob also?
