PDS - no reverse. Forward is fine.

I've had my cart for about a month and reverse seems to be getting progressively worse.

Initially it worked fine but over the past few weeks it, more frequently, won't back up. Once I put it in reverse and press the 'gas', it initially tries to move but then stops. It moves a few inches and stops as though the batteries are dead, then nothing. Put it back in forward and it runs great.

thoughts?

In a PDS cart the directional change is done inside the controller. You are describing a controller failure.

Controller damage is accumulative, which explains why it got worse and worse.

Time for an upgrade!

For a PDS cart I like a 400 amp Alltrax controller & HD solenoid pkg.
You will get increased torque and speeds up to 24mph.
