Adding Headlights to TXT PDS
First off let me say I am new to this site and from all I have read it is AWESOME. I just purchased a 05 PDS and I am in the process of putting the cut in headlight and taillight kit in. Are there any info that could be helpful I should know. I am trying to figure out the best way to access the back of the panel where the FNR switch is so I can install the light switch. and help/advice will be greatly appreciated.. Thanks in advance.

Re: Adding Headlights to TXT PDS
drill out the rivets holding the fnr switch panel. it will pop right out. you can put it back with screws, replace the rivets or come up with something else.
I did about 5 carts in a week. I found the easiest way to cut them out with the least mess was a razor knife. trace the outline and go back and score with the knife. once heavily scored I was easily able to cut the body with the knife. forgot to add- if it is a chinese light kit, don't take the instuctions too seriously. Re: Adding Headlights to TXT PDS
I dont know if they are a Chineeeese model, I got them off the net(oops they are made in the USA so i guess that rules out the Chinese model). There are extra wires that are not part of the plug system. The headlights I think are the turn signal that can be added and the taillights I assume it is for turn signals also. Any ideas? The wiring system is a plug type. If I am correct can i just tape the ends and pull them up out of the way till I add them?

Re: Adding Headlights to TXT PDS
you can do that. my harness had plugs to light up all the bulbs in the bar. mine are wired for lights only. they are clearly designed to be a turn signal kit with a different switch and harness.

Re: Adding Headlights to TXT PDS
Well I have got into them now and noticed that the headlight wires all have a place to plug in, it has a black wire with a "C" type lug on the end and again I assume I am to ground each light individually. The tail lights now has me puzzled. They have a plug plus a red wire with no fitting on the end, what might that go to? There was no D@83 instructions with these.. Grrr.... I did get the body cut out pretty easily with the help of my Dremiel tool..

Re: Adding Headlights to TXT PDS
Gobbledot, I just put this same set on my cart! The black wire goes under the nut on the small side maker light in the headlight setup. The red wire on the tail lights is not used for anything but is there in case you want to add signal lights later. be sure to cut off and to type up the end so it does not ground to anything! hope this helps... .

Re: Adding Headlights to TXT PDS
finsfan4life, Thanks a bunch. That is what I was needing to know. Where did you mount your relay that come with it? I guess under the seat somewhere. Again thanks for all for the help...

dremel tool is the best for this, hands down. I've tried 3 or 4 different methods.
