What is the best way to mount my AXE 4855?
Will soon be ready to mount my AXE 4855 in my 2004 series ezgo. Will I need to drill new holes? Will they need to be tapped? I have heat sink grease, what else will I need?
Thanks |

I believe it's at 100%, its been over a year since I looked at it. Don't know about the turbo setting.

Are the two holes with the plastic inserts for mounting the solenoid?

Yes, dont know about yours, but my solenoid got in the way of my rubber plug. I have to take one side of the solenoid loose to get it off.

In all honesty, the best place to mount that unit is in my cart. I will be over this weekend and you can put it in. then you can take yours out and see how much better it runs with it installed in my cart. I promise you it will be much better this way.

You have to have a USB to 9 pin (I think RS232) connector cord and then just download the program from Alltrax. It was real easy. Just jack up the rear of the cart and give it enough acceleration to just get the program running and you can change setting. They sell the cords on ebay for under $10 shipped. I would get a longer cord, the one I got is almost too short.

You can get a usb extension to lengthen the connection to your computer. I have a 6 ft extension and a 6 ft card which gives me plenty of room.
The controller needs to be powered up (Green led lighted up) before you open the program ... for it to recognize or find the controller and start up. You can do this with a small jumper wire to the pack positive. |
