Did you do a cont test for the solenoid? Sounds good on the other part, from what I can see in the diagram.

Go to page F-5 in the manual you downloaded, it will tell you exactly, also do some reading on F-12 just to make sure all is ok.

I did the cont test on the solenoid and the meter is jumping around as far as the numbers go but its also buzzing so this means solenoid is fried?

Is this the cart in your avatar? You said you went mudding and the cart shut down a few times? Sounds to me like a bad controller.

It saw just a little mud nothing crazy but it did shut down a few times 2 times with four guys on the cart and once with just two guys. Just seems odd though how it would pull out of the garage and then crap out. I'm curious though why my SOC meter led is so faint the cart has a total pack charge of 37.6 right now. And what do you think about the cont test on the solenoid does it sound fried?

the stock controller on those PDS carts are..... picky..... Anytime I do a lift on a PDS, I automatically upgrade the controller because the demands of the motor increase and the controller isn't up to the task. Add 4 people into the mix and some off road driving to boot and I would say you are lucky you didn't have to walk home.

The fact that the SOC is faint is a little strange, but that could be an unrelated issue.

As for the solenoid, if you are getting full voltage across it, I would call it a good test.

Well I guess I'll look into a controller. Back to the SOC meter it was fine while pulling out of the garage but when I put it in forward that's when it was a no go and the meter became faint strange huh? Thanks for your insight though!

the SoC pulls power straight from tha battery pack. on the back of the SOC, there are 3 connections. 1 is 36v power, 1 is 36v ground and the third is the activation wire from the keyswitch. Remove the keyswitch plate, test the voltage coming from the battery pack first, then leave the ground test lead on and test the voltage coming from the keyswitch. do both voltages match? What voltages are you reading?

Just another thought... have you teseted the battery to battery connections? I usually grab each wire and give a gentle tug. I have in the past found that a failing ring terminal can cause issues with a cart running. The power and connection are fine to activate a coil (solenoid) but not fine for the amperage required to run the vehicle.

When you put the car in reverse, is the reverse buzzer working?
