Golf Cart on Trailer Security
I will be traveling with my cart in tow. We will spend 1 night in a hotel. Should I chain down the cart to the trailer? and if so ideal spot to chain it to?

Re: Golf Cart on Trailer Security
Whenever I used to do overnight travel, I would run 2 chains. 1 around the front axle and 1 around the rear axle.

Re: Golf Cart on Trailer Security
Might I suggest locks as well. Chains don't do much for security if anybody can just unhook them.

Re: Golf Cart on Trailer Security
I would just use one chain.
One end hooked to the axle, the other end hooked to a rottweiler |

Might I suggest removing the windshield & roof also.
When I travel I only take two rotties with me. The other two will guard home. Ross |

Re: Golf Cart on Trailer Security
I'm not sure about your cart but on both of mine if you look under the front you can put the chain around a part of the frame. I don't like chaining to something that can be unbolted. Also back the trailer up against a tree / wall /pole so they can't roll it off the trailer. I use a locking hitch pin and a lock on the hitch latch. You can also use a locking boot on the trailer and cart. They sell them on ebay for $20 to $40.

Re: Golf Cart on Trailer Security
rotties are nothing but a bunch of pansies
Use the chains or some cable around the axles you will be good to go. |

Re: Golf Cart on Trailer Security
I dont lock the cart to the trailer....... I just lock the rear gate with a full cage around it there is no way it is coming off without some boltcutters... Backing up to a lightpole of a tree or tying to a ROT or Heeler is a great idea too.....
