Default battery charging

i have read many interesting things on here and learned lots about my cart thanks now i have a question about the amount of time the ave battery s need to be charged i usually charge mine for only an hour or two they take the charge well and run for a decent amount of time. ive read posts about charging for 10.12 even 16 hours is this what i need to do any feedback will be apprecated

And there is no way your batteries are charged in a hour or two---

If you started with the batteries fully charged then only used the cart for 10 or 15 minutes each time and charged for an hour or two in between each use, you could be ok.
Most likely though, you are running on batteries with less than full charge which means the batteries are always sulfating and will soon fail (sooner than later) due to the sulfur coating the lead plates preventing them from charging at all. You should fully charge the batteries soon after each use (let the charger turn off automatically) to get the longest life from them.
