Default 01 Club Car 48v DS regen almost moves but doesn't.

2001 Club Car DS re-gen II 48v. Cart was running and then went to use it and it went about 10 ft and as I stepped into accelerator, it bucked and then quit. Checked for loose or bad connections all round. Nothing. Voltage across batteries 51v. Batteries are two years old. I put the cart on a jack for testing. Wheels move slowly in F or R but if I press down to far on the accelerator, wheels quit turning. The selonoid in the rear offers various clicks as I do this. Thanks, Buzjit.

I can't load test batteries tonight as I have to get a load tester, but I did jump the selonoid with no change. With cart in the air, the wheels will turn continuously at a very low speed. I only saw one selonoid underneath the cart, so that is the one I jumped. Is that the correct selonoid? is there one under the dash? Thank-you.

we just need to eliminate batteries cause if you have one dropping under load its still gonna act up with solenoid jumped so when you can load test them to at least eliminate them......................................

The 2001 Regen2 only has 1 solenoid. Dynamic Braking solenoid was trashed in mid 2000

Regen 1 cars are the same way..... Any car without a pre-charge resistor can not be jumped. They only want voltage when the controller requests it. The IQ and Excel cars however, can be jumped across the solenoid as they have pre-charge resistors.

The early Regen1 cars????? I've honestly never tried. But every time a co-worker of mine attempts it it never ends well. It shoots sparks everywhere and we end up converting to IQ
