alarm light coming on at 1st turn on

I have a 1995 Club Car that is causing me concern. After charging for a number of days even, when the key is first turned on, the alarm light comes on for a short period and then goes out. I suspect the OBC but how do I go about proving it or am I barking up the wrong tree altogether?

is charger working and shutting off? is cart running ok? do you leave charger run until it shuts off on its own? ( could take up to 16 hours ) but charger should shut off at 16 hours regardless..........what color is battery lightred or orange? how old are batteries and have you tested them? load test, hydrometer test.....are the full with distilled water............................

Charger is functioning normal, comes on after a short delay, turns off after charging overnight. The alarm light is red. The batteries are quite old but sg tests are ok and voltage also ok. Cart runs ok but I don't know for what period as I am a bit scared of taking it too far for fear of getting stuck. Appreciate your help thus far. I am guessing it's the OBC and I am frantically trying to source a second hand unit. Any ideas? Lee

i wouldn,t touch a 2nd hand OBC, if your light is red chances are you have 1st gen. OBC you really want to buy a new one and get latest version there have been improvments to it........you,ll also get a new updated light...................................
