Default 1 gu cables vs 2 gu with a DCX600

Would there be any benefit or advantage to use 1 gu cables instead of 2 gu when installing a dcx600 on an otherwise stock 48v CC IQ?

Zach,

If it was me I would go with the 1 Guage cables, you can look it like your building for the future. Are you doing your own cables? where can you get 1 guage wire and ends to fit it? Crimping is very important as I am learning.
Good luck... Steve
PS. are you in a chair because of a SCI?

Tough question, with a stock motor prob not. Even with a reworked motor you prob wont see any "advantage" especially if there is a big cost difference. But if you already have the cable laying around then it certainly wont hurt.

I recently switched from high strand count cables on the motor to controller and f&r switch and auto store 4 gauge battery to battery connections and I picked up a little torque and speed with my alltrax650 and d&d motor. More stable speed as well..

All that said Scotty sells a great product at a great price. Youd be hard pressed to make your own for anywhere near that price..

Zach I agree with IMSWEST, ScottyB has some great cables, I only saved about $40 doing my own vs if I bought Scottys and I'm having probs with my crimp ends I did my self. I'm going to pull all of mine back off and recrimp.
