Couldn't have said it better. Sergio seems to be the expert here. If you ever need me to come to Vegas to help you out let me know.

Hi guys, we just had the family Christmas present show up last night a brand new lifted Onward Club Car. My son drove me around the neighborhood while I drank a cold one celebrating its arrival. After a short drive the white Eric charge light illuminated in the dark and then started to flash. I called the dealership and with a little concern shared this info.
I was told that this is just an idiot light and that they should have disconnected it...
However I look in the Club car manual and it states that illumination shows 20% charge and flashing indicates 10% charge..... Yet, I have all the red battery segments indicating a full charge. 🤔 Something is not logical here to me. I don’t ignore flashing lights and why wouldn’t Club car address this in the manual or come up with a modification to have the segments coexist with Eric’s flashing light or vice verse?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts,
Steve

Unless your pack voltage is showing 51 plus, you don’t have a full charge. And a “fuel” gauge type indicator on some of the carts like yours are horrifically inaccurate. The ERIC charger itself will blink when charging. As for the white light, I’m not sure exactly what you are referring too. The ERIC Charger has a blue red and green LED on it. Not sure I’ve ever seen the white colored light.

Regardless, let it charge your cart fully. And I would bet dollars to donuts that the dealer did not charge the cart recently if at all.

Thanks Htownblue,

Yes you are absolutely correct a few more laps around the neighborhood this afternoon and the fuel gauge type red bar segment dropped to the last bar it caught up to the Battery warning/white light. The white light I was referring to is on the carts Dash next to the red bar/fuel gauge. I’m a gadget guy so I think we’ll cough up the money for the Smart Link App to try and optimize charges and watch over her the best we can. The new ride is getting a full charge tonight.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my question!
Steve

Not saying there isn’t a problem etc. I would certainly let it get a full charge and then see if the problem repeats itself. You could also take individual battery voltage readings to make sure you aren’t experiencing a bad cell or battery causing a voltage drop upon the system engaging the solenoid and motor. That’s happened too around here even when the pack voltage read semi normal.

Give it a full charge and report back. Lots of guys around here smarter than I am who will help you troubleshoot should there be a legit issue.
