So I'm only going to connect the purple and yellow? And leave the ones that used to go to the micro switches unconnected and taped off? What about the blue key wire?

From your description I thought you could not tell where any of the wires went (been pulled and cut).

You do not need the black and the white wires that went to micro-switch #3, they are only used for 1/2 speed.

You do need the Blue and the Green/White wires connected to the Key switch and micro-switch #1 or you will not get the +48v activation to the Controller.

Here is the wiring diagram for your cart:

Make sure the only wires from the Vglide throttle (Purple and Yellow) go directly to the Controller and no left over wires that used to go to the FNR micro-switch are still connected.
Sergio, did you get this information from a Club Car manual? We may need to confirm that his cart is indeed a 0-5k cart. I have a 9519 sitting in my shop right now that has the 5k-0 3-wire setup. Club Car always told me it was week 16 when the change happened. It's not uncommon for one of their manuals to have a typo.

So, only attach, the purple and yellow wires that come from the glide, to the wires going to the controller. And then hookup the blue key switch, and leave others unattached and nothing going to the 3 unattached mircoswitch connections ?

Here's what I did last today

*Vglide - wires from cart*
Blue - Blue
Green/White - bottom of micro switch #1
Black - Purple
White - Yellow

Cart still went ahead full speed as soon as I slightly hit the throttle.

David, You are right, I gave the information about the model switch date straight out of the Club Car manual.

That is why I asked about the wires on micro-switch #3, the 5k-0Ω has 3 wires on that micro-switch, although I thought the first 5k-0Ω introduced at that time was the CVP which would not have mounted like the VGlide /MultiStep, right?

reeseman44, disconnect the 2 wires from Controller terminal #2 and #3, that should be the wires connected to VGlide purple and yellow wires.

Set your meter to 20kΩ resistance scale and Connect your meter probes to the 2 wires you disconnected from the Controller.

Slowly press the pedal and notice the resistance on the wires as you press the pedal.

When you hear the micro-switch "click" inside the VGlide, the resistance should be 0 not 0L on your meter.

Please post the actual readings from pedal up to pedal down.

Sergio,

I've seen both the CVP Potbox and the Multi-Step 5k-0 3-Wire V-Glide both used in 1995 models. I don't think there was really a rhyme or reason to which car got what. If there is any information about that, I don't have it. All 0-5k were multi-step

reeseman44,

Is your controller silver or black? Give us the model number off of it if you can.
