Default Club car windshield

I bought a used 2015 club car precedent cart. It came with several aftermarket upgrades including an extended roof. I ordered a windshield specific for my model and year cart, however when it came in it was not wide enough. After talking to the shop, the width of my front roof posts was wider then the windshield they had offered? Does anyone have any suggestions where I can get a windshield that will fit? The front roof mounts look similar to other precedent carts, so I'm not sure why mine is wider then normal?

Not sure about your aftermarket roof, but some of the limo ones (very long) come with new front struts as well as rear ones.

They may be wider than the OEM ones. It doesn't take more than an inch or so wider and the aftermarket windshields will not fit.

See if you can find the dimensions on the Pre-2000 DS aftermarket fold down windshields. I believe they are wider. I can measure mine tomorrow and let you know if no one else replies.

Did some searching:
1] 1982 to 2000 DS windshields are 39.5" wide top and bottom

2] 2000 and up DS windshields are 34.75" Top and 39.875" Bottom

3] Precedent windshields are 38" Top and Bottom

It sounds like you need to get #1 to fit your cart.

Two things: Do your front roof struts bow inwards toward the front cowling as if to hug the curvature of the front Cowl? Or do they bow outward from the cart. I’ve seen them reveresed to accommodate the wider limo extended cart tops.

Second, do you have standard roof struts? If not, I would buy a standard set and your windshield will fit. You might need to fabricate a bracket for your extend3d roof to attach to the stock roof struts, but the windshield will fit if you purchase the stock front struts.

How about posting some pictures so that we can see what's really going on?

This is a photo of my mate's 2015 model with the standard struts and standard roof. You can see how the struts hug the body as described by Htownblue.

See photos attached.

The bottom is 39.5" and the top is 38.75"

Is there anyone that makes custom sized fold down windshields for carts?

Thanks

Looks like struts are reversed and the spacer block things at the top are missing

The front photo looks exactly like the struts are reversed.

I would first reverse the struts right and left. Then I would see if you need to add a spacer bar to make up any distance from the roof to the strut mount points.

I would bet dollars to donuts that those struts are NOT stock struts.
