I asked the same question a couple years ago. I went with the DS and a different body. Love my cart. Plus, FWIW, my daughters just smashed mine into a tree. straightened the frame, replaced some parts, and good to go.

Hahaha. Aluminum frames are a lot easier to straighten for sure. Hope your daughters learned that trees and carts don’t mix. |

Dogs prefer the DS apparently.

I'll go with the Precedent because of style and looks....just my preference.

Re: If money wasn’t an object, DS or Precedent and Why?
I've owned both models and each had its advantages over the other. The Precedent has a more modern and, to my mind, attractive styling. It also has more comfortable seat backs. On the other hand, the DS felt somehow more solid and stable and had a far deeper and more comfortable seat to absorb the bumps of rough terrain without jarring my spine so much. I found the bodywork on the DS easier to keep looking good using good quality automobile polish. The plastic bodywork on the Precedent, on the other hand, didn't seem to like any kind of traditional polish and would always dry to a haze or show smears in the light when buffed. What is more, I found the finish on the Precedent body was easily scuffed by the Classic Accessories enclosure I put on it after it had been out in windy weather, although it coped okay with the better-fitting Fairway Fadesafe enclosure that I put on it later. All the same, I was devastated when my 2011 Precedent was stolen last October and I couldn't get a replacement of the same age or condition here in the UK for the money I got from the insurance. I am forcing myself to love the EZGO that I ended up with but it lacks the class and style of my Precedent or the solidity of my old 2001 DS.

"If money wasn't an object...?" That's easy, just get multiple DS carts!
