Default Precedent steering extension

After lowering my 2014 Precedent (flipped the leaf spring and 1" aluminum block) I extended the wheels with 2" spacers. The wheels rub on the mount for the windshield. I need an extra inch of clearance- therefore Id like to slide the steering forward.

Four bolts and two new brackets for the upper body is all there really is. My plan was to hog out the holes for the light mount and drill two new holes for the rear.

Anyone try this or have a better way?

Thanks!

Man, I think you’re asking for trouble if you ask me. Moving the entire front end forward would be difficult at best. You’d be better off trimming the clearance needed off the wheel well and roof strut mount.

That does sound really harsh and invasive. I would look at what HTB said as my first thought.

Thanks for the responses, however I don't understand what the big deal is? When you do a lift, you are extending the wheel base. This is really no different, and Im thinking will give better handling and stability. Ill post pics after I do it. Maybe this evening.
