Default daily charging

Hi I am a new member after guesting for a while. My question is why does club car recommend charging every night on precedent carts.I have a 12 precedent 48 volt w/6 8volt bats. How do i know if it is an excel or IQ.

It's so you don't wake up one morning ready to face the worlds challenges or hit the links and your batteries are dead because you forgot to plug it in. The serial number.

The "PH" prefix on the serial number means you have an Excel cart.

To answer your first question, You should not allow batteries to remain on a discharged state for an extended period of time.

As long as the cart was used, it should be plugged to the charger at the end of the day.
