Default club car won't charge

we have a 48v club car at work that wouldn't charge. I have a charger that has bypassed the low voltage relay, and that charger will charge the cart. thought the batteries we're bad because they were pretty old, so we bought new ones. tried to use the regular charger and it still won't charge, but it will charge with the bypassed charger. any idea on where to start to check it? I will get the year of the cart when I get to work tomorrow. thanks in advance

Your OBC is not seeing it and triggering the charger to run. (You can bypass the OBC and test the good charger. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...excel-obc.html) Make sure your fuse is not blown in the yellow sense wire that you see under the seat behind the charge receptacle.

Make sure you don't have a broken wire in the charger cord. You might try wiggling the cord where it connects to the plug and see if the charger starts working or at least the relay clicks. But the most reliable way to check them would be to ohm them out.

Check the 3/8ths amp fuse in the yellow fuse holder on the gray wire under the charge receptacle.

Did you get the OBC bypass instruction from this website?

But I was saying if the OBC has failed (or partially failed) it will not trigger your charger to cut on. And could be the reason that same charger works on other carts...

When you plug in the charger to the receptacle can you place the cart in F or R and it move? (It should not if the OBC is working properly)
