Default converted 2006 Precedent - 48 to 12 volt converter

Hi all,

What would be the best plug and play 48 to 12 volt converter for the situation below?

I have a 2006 Precedent that is well on its way to being converted to a 6 x 8 volt from a 4 x 12. I'm just altering the tub to accept 6 x 8 volts and keeping the stock 2006 wiring which already has the wires going to the tail. I'm about to order the Precedent headlight kit for 2004-2008.5 and am hoping all will be more or less plug and play although I suspect some jury rigging will be required given that the harness is for the 4x12 volt?!

Also - is this the correct wiring diagram for a 2006 Precedent?

Also the ones you will buy from Scotty (at Carts Unlimited) or David (at Revolution Golf Cars) will have 5 wires (2x48V in and 2x12V out plus a "trigger" wire). The trigger wire connects to the cold side of the on-off switch (the one that has power only when the switch is on). This means that the reducer will only pull power from the pack when the switch is on.

If you buy a cheap ebay type reducer they only have 4 wires (2x48V in and 2x12V out) which means that they are on constantly unless you wire them through a relay or separate switch. Just hooking them to the on-off switch is not good for the switch because of power spikes as they turn on.
