Re: 94 Elect. Club Car DEAD
I forgot, when I press the pedal for a few second the solenoid clicks continuously.

Re: 94 Elect. Club Car DEAD
It sounds like it could be bad. You can try it by bypassing the solenoid but not for long.

Re: 94 Elect. Club Car DEAD
The cart is already jacked up so the wheels can turn freely. Do I bypass it with my extra 6 gauge battery cable, large post to large post. Do I need to have the cart key turned on and in forward, and only touch the second post for a few seconds?
I'm sorry I am at such a loss with this situation, you are great to keep offering suggestions for me to try. I really appreciate your time as I'm sure you have many other things to keep you busy. Thanks!!! |

Re: 94 Elect. Club Car DEAD
Yes. Jump the two large posts on the solenoid and press the pedal and see if it goes. They key should be on. That will rule out a bad solenoid.

Re: 94 Elect. Club Car DEAD
Just jumped it and all I got was a few sparks when I touched the second post, did it 3 separate times to make sure. So, do you think I should order a new solenoid?

Re: 94 Elect. Club Car DEAD
When you touched the second post did you push the pedal?

Re: 94 Elect. Club Car DEAD
Sorry about not getting back sooner, life around me just keeps going on & on..
Anyway, yes that was with the pedal pushed down. With the jumper cable on there was no clicking sound either. I'll have to check for a reply in the morning as it's too late to do anything tonight. Thank you, bullfrog |

Re: 94 Elect. Club Car DEAD
It doesn’t sound like a bad solenoid to me. That’s unusual that it would happen by itself. I’m assuming there’s no melted wires by the resistors?
Maybe some of the experts on here will come along soon... :) Luke Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: 94 Elect. Club Car DEAD
Thanks LukeL, I appreciate all the help you've given. There are no melted connections or burn markings anywhere that I've searched. But today I will recheck everything you've suggested again. I am new at this posting, do you know how I go about posting my question so others can see it? You've been a super member!!!

Re: 94 Elect. Club Car DEAD
You said when you pressed the pedal there was constant clicking from the solenoid? That could be a sign of low voltage, or bad connection between the battery and the solenoid. What is the battery pack voltage? Place black lead on the main - post, and the red on the main + post. What is that voltage? Also test that same voltage when you press the pedal.
