Re: 2006 Precedent OBC bypass
It would have to be a 10k ohm one watt resistor.

Re: 2006 Precedent OBC bypass
Hey Sergio, the sticky interlock instructions are for a Lester charger? I haven't really committed to any one brand of charger. The only reason I said DPI was because it seems to be a popular choice. My issue is getting a DPI in Canada, the shipping from US is quite pricey. They do sell Lester chargers here in Canada so maybe a good choice as well?

Re: 2006 Precedent OBC bypass
Those instructions are for any charger that has the "Sense Pin" internally connected to the negative pin/wire.
I posted a picture from the DPI website that shows the inside of their Gen III club car round connector and what wires would need to be connected if the "sense pin" is not internally connected to any wires. I don't know if they now have that wire terminated since the Gen IV charger has a lot more pins and functions available. Maybe someone with a Gen IV could to a continuity test to find out. Either charger is good but I would not personally operate one without the interlock. |

Re: 2006 Precedent OBC bypass
To the best of my knowledge Lester has an excellent reputation also. I have a Lester "Links" that came with my custom built EZGO (not an EZGO factory version). Doesn't "float" the batteries but has an automatic maintenance program I know works as I have caught it in the act.
Lester also has a "Summit" model I have seen recommended by members here. Can't go wrong with a DPI either. I have a gen3 model that is 4+ years old with no issues. I'm suspicious the DPI gen4 doesn't "float" the batteries like the gen3 does. Their documentation is not exactly clear. I'm sure there is an automatic maintenance function, however. |
