opinions on battery cable size for 420 amp controller on precedent
Are stock precedent battery cables 4 or 6 gauge?
Would it be OK to stick with the stock battery cable if upgrading to 420 amp controller? This will not be an off road cart, just used in a hilly subdivision. |

Re: opinions on battery cable size for 420 amp controller on precedent
OEM should be 6 gauge and if you "Have" to use them, you can, but they will break down sooner and heat up more then a good 4 gauge set would. Plus in hilly situations you will be pulling more load and will need the heavier cables....
If I replace cables, I just go ahead and place on 2 gauge so I am covered in any situation. |
