Default Cart Stopped Running

I took my cart for a ride and it just stopped dead. 2005 Club Car DS AQ0529-524169.

There is a volt meter on the dash. I disconnected the reverse buzzer and just let the two wires hang on the harness. Not allowed in the RV campground. There is a converter/reducer hooked up that the lights are hooked up to. I have 6, 8 volt trojan batteries.

I am picking up a volt/ohm meter tomorrow. Is there a sequence to start testing. Like check this first, if that is ok, then check this next, etc etc.

Does anybody have the wiring schematic for this model?

I am thinking of eliminating the converter and lights and trying to make every wire stock and see what happens.

Phil

I hope you taped them up. If not check for a blown fuse.

Here is one Phil http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...tml#post890814

Give us some more info:
- Does it power up at all? (hook the buzzer back up for test purposes)
- Does it "click" when you depress the Go Pedal?
- Have you checked for loose connections or a blown fuse yet?

Just a few ideas but could be a myriad things until you start checking and drilling down.

Just went out to hook the charger up, and that does not move now. Worked fine yesterday.

Then the Neg post on the last battery started to spark and smoke.

I disconnected the + and the - posts for now. There are other wires connected to the neg post other than the one coming thru the computer.

Sounds like you have a pinched wire or something going to ground. Best to start troubleshooting as described above and look for a loose connection or pinched/grounded wire, then continue from there.

The battery post for the neg wire that goes through the computer was tightened to hard and loosened up the post. It was shorting out.

Tapped the post and put a new bold in and all is good.

Thanks
Phil
