How to properly torque front wheel spacer
First, I've searched the site and the broader internet.
I've purchased 1.5" billet aluminum spacers and can't figure out how to put the front spacers on and be able to torque them the right amount. Is there a trick that is used to "lock" the front end to allow me to torque? Thanks! |

Re: How to properly torque front wheel spacer
Use a pry bar between the studs and have it lodged against the floor when tightening. Move pry bar as you tighten each lug.

Re: How to properly torque front wheel spacer
I would suggest a stout wooden broom handle or shovel handle to reduce the chance of thread damage. This is what I used when doing my front rotors on my F350 DRW and it worked fine. Same procedure as the pry bar that Htownblue suggested.

Put nuts on the lugs, then proceed as Htownblue suggested!

Re: How to properly torque front wheel spacer
Thanks all, did as HTownblue suggested, but wrapped a layer of bubble wrap around the pry bar to protect the threads and it worked like a charm! Broom handle was too thick. Thanks to all for the suggestions and replies!
