Alltrax Monitor function- log to file
I'm not having any success getting my controller to save a data log file. I followed the instructions from the toolkit instruction manual and also tried just about every iteration of start/stop/save and cant get it to save a file that I can open. Any tricks?
Here is what I tried (from manual): Connect laptop to controller. Open Toolkit On monitor screen select log to file and select a file location. Select stop Select Start Drive Select stop (which the manual says should save the file) Disconnect computer from controller When I go to the file location I saved it the file is not there. The files do show up in the "recent files" section of file explorer but if I try to open them it says "File not found" Are these supposed to be viewable in Excel? |

Re: Alltrax Monitor function- log to file
Why select stop then start?
Try not selecting stop until the end? You May be trying to save a file that never started if STOP is clearing file type and location info??? |

I tried it that way because that's what the manual says. I also tried: stop, select file, start, drive, stop. Still didn't work.

Re: Alltrax Monitor function- log to file
Lots of people make this work.
The key is to tell it to save in a location or by a name you can find. And yes to answer an earlier question here the files are viewable in Excel |

Re: Alltrax Monitor function- log to file
There is something else wrong with the sequence as I was unable to save or at least to view the saved files even though I found them with Windows Explorer or whatever it's called now. I wish someone would post exact steps to create and save because the steps listed in the manual do not work.

Hard to believe the steps in the Alltrax manual do not work? The manual is where I got my instruction.

Re: Alltrax Monitor function- log to file
Just did this yesterday. If you mistakenly forget to direct it to a location you can easily identify (ie desktop) then you can search for a .csv file saved on the date attempted. The file is under the alltrax toolkit data location on your pc.
