Default Club Car Communications Display Module

. . if anyone is interested, this eBay item is available. . . a CC Communications Display Module . . it is NOT a programmer, but the unit that can read error codes via the Battery Light . . . it was listed for over a week with no takers, and has been relisted . . . don't know if anyone here would want it or not, so just thought I would provide the info . . . Tahoe could probably provide more info on what this thing can do . . .

What would we use it for? Who has the code manual to show what they readings mean?

. . . from CC owner's manual"

LED Light: In addition to the warning light, there is an infrared LED in the dash light assembly, which transmits
an infrared signal from the onboard computer (OBC). This signal is received by the optional Communication
Display Module (CCI P/N 101831801), which provides information on the condition of the vehicle and
batteries.

. . . that is the extent of my knowledge of this thing . . never seen/used one myself . .

So does it plug in somewhere on the cart?
I am assuming it is for IQ carts only?

. . . it does not plug into anything . . it reads an infra red signal from the yellow/red battery meter "idiot" light that is transmitted from the OBC . . . they went to a yellow battery meter because the Comm Module was having issues reading the red battery meter . . . as for being solely for IQ carts, Tahoe will have to answer that one . . I think it is for any cart that has an OBC, but I may be wrong (wouldn't be the first time) . . .

What does it actually do? Is it a good tool to have?

For a dealer yeah. It tells you all about the charge history of the cart, how and why the last charge cycle terminated, how much usage the car has, etc.. It's what the dealers used to use to determine whether or not a vehicle still had factory warranty remaining on batteries. 20,000 energy units was the warranty. If the car had more than that they weren't covered under warranty.
