Club Car Precedent fast then slow
I have new batteries in my Club Car Precedent. It's fully charged and starts off really fast (well for a cart) and then approx. 2-3 minutes later of riding it slows down and keeps at that speed.
I do not have the speed changed to a 4 yet nor did I buy the magnet to speed it up. I just don't understand why it would slow down that much. Please help! |

Re: Club Car Precedent fast then slow
Tried the speed test and that showed my sensor is good. I am lost now at what I should do to see what is causing me from going fast and then to a slow speed. It's not like it dies fast, it just goes about 8mph and stays there.

Re: Club Car Precedent fast then slow
. . . that 8mph is the controller's default "limp mode" for a speed sensor that is failing/failed . . .

Re: Club Car Precedent fast then slow
Regen will kick in on carts that have that option turned on only when pedal is lifted, not with it to the floor. I have seen many iq carts that can be pushed by hand, have buzzer beep and regen kick in and it still has a bad speed sensor. It depends on where the sensor fails. If you want to be sure have your local dealer connect a programmer to it and read the fault history
