Default Cart Suddenly Brakes

Hi everyone,
I have a 2008 EZGO RXV, mostly stock and not lifted.

When coming to a stop, the brakes lock up on my cart. It doesn't happen every time I brake, seems like only once in an outing.

I checked the batteries and each measure 12+V under no load.

No other issues as far as I can tell.

I've read that if the battery V become low, it causes the brakes to lock up.

But my batteries seem ok...

Any thoughts?

Lithium batteries? If so, Regen current might be too high for what I suspect are general purpose 12v lithium batteries you have and the BMS may be disconnecting, hence the EMB locks up.

When coming to a stop, the em brake should lock up, always. It shouldn't engage, as long as the cart is in motion.

My buddy had this kind of failure and it was a bad solenoid. If the solenoid opens while driving, the brake slams you to a stop.

I had an intermittent fault in my plug connecting to the brake coil pins....not making contact...I removed the plug..bent the contact in the plug in a little...no more problems

Thanks everyone, this is intermittent. Took the cart out tonight and it was fine. Will report back if it happens again and where I go from there.
