Yamaha G1 gas/oil mix separation question
I’m planning to bypass my Yamaha G1 2-cycle oil injection system and run a oil/gas mixture directly from the fuel tank.
Does anyone know what rate, if any, oil will settle to the bottom of the fuel tank over time when running a gas/oil mix? I plan to use the cart at least weekly and, it seems to me, fuel just sloshing around in the tank will keep it adequately mixed. But if I should miss using the cart for a month or so will there be a noticeably denser mixture of oil at the bottom of the tank? Has anyone observed oil settling in a clear container over a given period of time or had other similar experience? Any thoughts/observations or personal experience greatly appreciated. Thanks, Twobore |

Re: Yamaha G1 gas/oil mix separation question
Not to much to worry about here. I premix with one of my G1s and use it only on the weekends and have never had a problem. Sometimes two or three weeks go by before I even move it. It sits all winter in my garage and when springs comes I jump on it and go.
