Default 1992 EzGo oil injection delete

Hi all,
I’ve got an oldie that I’m always having problems with. It’s the Robin 3PG motor. It’ll run ok for a few then falls on it’s face. I just did a compression test and surprisingly it’s putting out 120psi. I have replaced the fuel pump with an electric fuel pump and regulated it to 1psi. I plugged the oil injection port on the carb.

The vacuum port down on the back of the motor that used to go to the fuel pump has me confused. If I plug it the thing won’t run. If I leave it open it’ll run. Should I just let it vent?

Also should I put the arms of the injection stuff on the side of the motor in a certain position or just forget that’s even there?

The case is supposed to be airtight. You are masking another issue by changing the design of the engine with an electric pump. Dirty carburetor or clogged muffler. You should also remove the entire pump.

Ask yourself this question. Why is the engine starving for air? Why does it run when it sucks air through a hole that is supposed to be sealed? Too much fuel.

Big facts on the fuel. It was pushing 5 psi and flooding the carb like crazy. I regulated down to 1 psi and that cleaned up things nicely. I just want to make sure about all this other stuff.

I have replaced the the vacuum fuel pump twice and it never ran right. Plus finding real parts to rebuild the injection system is rather hard.

How much vacuum should the fuel port in the block be pulling? I imagine the crank seals are probably worn and leaking. I was going to test vacuum and see if it’s leaking.
