EH35C Suddenly boggy
My 2002 EH35C was running just fine since we rebuilt it a couple or three years ago then suddenly didn’t want to run.
Hopped on it like I did many times that day but it wouldn’t build rpms. Ran like a 2 stroker with a plugged exhaust. I thought maybe something let go inside the muffler and completely stopped it up so I pulled it off… still boggy. Wondering if you guys have any suggestions as to what may be causing it. I removed the air cleaner and that didn’t make any difference either… Maybe a timing belt jumped a cog? Im not sure how to check it without pulling the motor back out… It’s a bit of a bitch |

Re: EH35C Suddenly boggy
First thing I might check is to make sure its not overcharging. Stick your meter on it.

Re: EH35C Suddenly boggy
Does the voltage regulator cut it back at 14.6 at wide open throttle ?
Check the normal stuff like valves and compression. Was it running good the last time you used it ? |

Re: EH35C Suddenly boggy
14.6 - 14.8 even when I can get some RPMs out of it
I use this cart all day every day on and off… Went to put it up and it suddenly started the bogging thing kind of like it would if you pulled the choke while driving it… but without the popping and choking… just bogs |

Re: EH35C Suddenly boggy
I don’t know how it would foul a plug on a 2 yo motor
Funny story… yesterday, my wife the Christian an paralegal, who thinks that if a motor don’t start, it’s clearly a bad starter… Told me that Jesus told her that it was electrical…. I told her that if it was electrical, it wouldn’t be firing. I told her that it’s probably best that she and Jesus stick to spreading the gospel and minor miracles and leave the mechanicin to me and the boys at BGW…. But on a hunch, I busted out the timing light and… nothing on the #2 cylinder Pulled the plug and it was so oil fouled that it should have quit on me long before now. Now I gotta figure out why it fouled the plug… however it did go a couple years before it did. Im really really happy I have my buggy back but… now I have to go tell my wife that she and Jesus were right and I was wrong… That’s gonna hurt some But again guys… I really appreciate the help as always . |
