I came across that in Oklahoma also. Only one of the dealers I called was selling them at the actual MSRP. The others were about 500 over whether they installed it or you did. Between that and the wait time for delivery, I wound up going an alternate route.

I went with Allieds from Plowman's Carts in Michigan. They got the batteries drop shipped to me from the factory so there weren't any extra shipping charges. Also were very helpful with questions as I got ready to install. I'd highly recommend them. But Eco does seem like a great choice also.

I did the same thing. Don Plowman has a great price on the Allieds. I’ve never seen anything bad about the Eco battery either.

We have a UMRP (Unilateral Minimum Retail Price) policy which means that our dealers are required to sell at or more than our designated price. Dealers are free to sell at whatever price they want as long as it doesn't violate that policy. At the end of the day, if the dealer is charging more, that is their prerogative. They just might give up quantity of sales in lieu the higher margin on their end.

So to answer your question directly, it is not typical for a dealer to charge more than our UMRP price. Most sell right at it. It is their right, as a dealer, to do so, however.
