Re: front brakes
his addiction to CC is well supported by a quality vehicle... what else would ingersol rand make?
I'm fairly certain the 252s spindles will fit... .. |

Re: front brakes
After looking closer at mine, and the exploded parts view, I think the only thing you'd squeeze in stock wheels is a drum. The spindle looks like mild steel. I can weld on that - I was afraid it was cast - I'm not so good with that. I think you could use the rear backing plates, you'd just need to fab a mount for the spindle.
This whole route is a little pricey if you have to buy new parts. I was really liking the motorcycle caliper and rotor idea.....just not enough room with 8's. I may have to go get a lift and some 12's!!! |

Re: front brakes
I can see the hoses - He doesn't seem to skimp on quality, so I don't think it will be cheaper than the BU price.

Re: front brakes
Jakes already has a front mechanical brake kit... its $550 retail, maybe a little more if you have an old enough car...

Re: front brakes
I don't trust BU for ANYTHING, and I definitely wouldn't trust them for brakes. Go Jakes or fab it yourself!

Re: front brakes
You're right about BU. I wouldn't trust them to lift or stop anything. They sell a bunch of junk.

Re: front brakes
It wouldn't be quite as bad if only a few of their items were junk, but EVERYTHING they sell is. Carburetors, lift kits, tires and wheels, brakes, accessories...it's all junk! They see nothing but $$$ when an unsuspecting customer orders from them. After they recieve payment, they're through with you.
