Default EcoBattery Versus RoyPow....

If you've been following my cart upgrades its been going fairy well..

Last update was a Plum Quick Rattle Snake motor, It made a huge difference in speed but it doesn't seem any quicker than the stock 1994 36-48v motor that came out.

Wondering if this is the reason ?

I was going to go with the EcoBattery EB48V105 but at the time it was out of stock for month's... I got impatient and found a RoyPow 48v 105ah in stock.

RoyPow
========
Nominal Capacity 100Ah
Continuous Discharge 100A
Maximum Discharge 200A (10 s)

EcoBattery
==========
Nominal Capacity 105Ah
Continuous Discharge 175A
Maximum Discharge 600A (3 s)
Maximum Discharge 300A (30 s)

Is this why it doesn't seem any quicker ?

The RoyPow parameters are considerably less than E.B. but you should still have acceptable speed and torque.

If you have a windows laptop, connect it to the Alltrax and see what your max motoring amps, max battery amps, throttle rate and max forward throttle are set at. These are user adjustable.

ScottyB will give you the correct settings if not already done. I believe it just needs some tweaking.

I'm surprised that the specs are that different given that the capacities are about the same. Most of these batteries use same or similar cells.

I understand they have come out with a performance model, S-51105-P, that is designed for upgraded carts more than the standard one.

I can't find the specs anywhere for that one, but I assume they are much better than the S-51105.

Seems Gen2 is all we hear from these suppliers. Eco sent me Gen2 on my last order. Uno just shipped me a Gen2 replacement after I sunk the Gen1 Sorry.

Motto can you post a monitor file for us to review here? Just a few minutes of the cart running up to speed and section of pulling a hill would be great.

Ok, will connect the laptop to it and see if i can gather some logs and screen outputs.

I'm good with testing and logging some stuff for others as well :)

Might as well learn some stuff...

Mike

P.S. The RoyPow P series was not known but not available when I was looking...
