Re-checked the compression tonight. It was 120 after rebuild and is at 80 psi now. I believe this is the problem
I am thinking I installed one or both of the rings upside down. I will tear apart, rehone and install new rings. Can someone tell me which way the rings go? I know they have a bevel and believe it goes up. There is also a little "R" on my rings. Is that the side with the bevel? Also, can someone tell me what the ring gap should be and how to address if it's too small? I assume you carefully file the ends of the rings. Lastly, what is the acceptable specification on bore diameter? |
