Default need help please

hi all i have a 1995 g14 yamaha electric 36v golf cart and i need some help in getting
it goin batt. is strong but when i step on the accelerator it dont go forward or
backward when i switch the foward controls to rev. the buzzer comes on but dont
go. when i got it from my dad he told me that before it went dead it would go
and some time stop and after a little while it would go,and some times when you
step on the acc. it would be a slight pause then it would go but now its dead if
can anyone please help thank you.i think its the solenoid or possibly the
controler how do i go about checkin it with a volt meter thanks if you can help.

Take the voltmeter and test each battery individually and then the whole bunch as a pack. ( see where the charge wires attach - this is where you will find the pack voltage). Check all of that and post your findings here. Then we can proceed......

Example

Pack = 41.2v
Battery #1 = 6.4v
Battery #2 = 5.9v
etc.

ever sound like its welding under your ***?
if the batteries have any juice at all it should still move w/ out delay
id go buy some new parts

If the contactor clicks then check the speed controller. Turn key on, put in foward, B+ & A1 on speed controller. should be 0 volts still 36 volt pedal down. If its 36 volts without pressing pedal controller is bad.
