Unhappy 97 EZGO Medalist Gas Question on Hauler drive belt

This newbie needs to adjust hauler / drive belt. Tension is loose sometimes causing cart failure to go in reverse. The owner manuals show adjustment of generator belt, but no info on drive belt. Can anyone suggest either a source for this info OR a direct answer would be swell...Thanks, Joseph. josephBus@gmail.com

If the belt is working forwards it should be working in reverse as well. Not %100 sure on your cart but all the other ones I've seen there was no adjustment for the drive belt. You slip a certain size belt on there and the CVT does the rest.

I'm wondering if your problem doesn't lay in the gearbox or shift mechanism.

Yes, Thank You Heliarc...
This AM cart goes forward but not reverse ( clutch cold?).
When warms up the reverse OK... EZGO Tech sez "There is no adjustment, the clutch Should Be replaced...If so, is it a small job to replace?
Parts from where?...Thx, JosephBus1

It's not a terrible job to replace but what I don't understand is that a clutch doesn't care which direction it's spinning. That same clutch will work in arctic temperatures or the Sahara desert. It doesn't care how hot or cold it is either. If the clutch is broken, it's going to be broken in forward or reverse.

Besides that, I'm not a bit familiar with this new of a cart so I really can't tell you much.
