all new parts still no spark !
OK still NO SPARK !!!
Ok here's where i'm at now. Changed the plug and plug wire. Changed the coil out with a new auto coil. No difference. Changed the igniter out with a new auto one and followed steps for rewiring. Still no spark. Tried switching the 2 pulsar wires like was mentioned. Still no spark. Tried reversing the polarity cause I saw something about this being an issue with not starting. Still nothing !! I checked an rechecked all my wiring and connections and the coil and igniter are mounted just in case there is a ground issue. I'm kinda at a loss now. Any ideas where to go from here ??? Thank you in advance. |

Re: all new parts still no spark !
1986 GXT 800 2 stroke EZGo. After changing the plug and then plug wire with no luck I did the HEI conversion that was posted by Ron Man using all new parts.
Still no spark. I checked and rechecked all connections and wiring. Getting very frustrated with this thing. Any ideas ?>? |

Re: all new parts still no spark !
Some checks you can do. Verify you have a solid +12V on the pos+ of your coil when cranking, also +12v on the hei terminal.(2) verify you have the hei bottom plate grounded good.(3) Unplug your pulsar connector, measure ohms of the two wires going into motor blower houssing and report back. also measure each pin to ground. 3) set your meter to ac volts, lowest voltage setting, connect leads to pulsar wires, crank motor, reading should be .3 to .5 volts ac or greater.
