'02 G22E 48V Battery/Charging issue?
I have a chance to purchase the above cart from a friend. Currently, the cart has dead batteries...so dead that the charger won't come on. They each have about 3 volts apiece when separated. When all hooked up in the cart, the total voltage is about 5 volts. The code on the (8V) batteries is G10 (July 2010, correct?) I pulled all of the batteries out and am trying to rejuvenate them using a combination of charging with a six volt charger and a 12 volt charger.
The current owner of the cart states he has all kinds of issues keeping the batteries charged. What are some of the known issues I should be looking for? What is the function of the tow/run switch? The cart seems real decent. It has a roof, lights, windshield, rear mirror and flip down back seat. Is it worth $1K not running? Any help is appreciated. |
