regen vs std

Why is a regeon faster on level ground and climbs hills faster??Not just alittle but alot.

Are the controllers more amps or is their another reason??

Can't answer your questions but can tell you a little about REGEN. It's regen as in regenerative breaking or plug breaking. It regenerates power back into the batteries when engaged.

The REGEN systems with their shunt motors, are the new wave of the future. The major golf car manufacturers are going to this type of system nowdays.

Club Car says they no longer make a series motor and all of their cars are IQ with regen now.

There are also many improvements for the Shunt Motors that have already popped up. What I have seen myself, is pretty nice too. Another switch and motor to get about 10 mph faster is just one I have seen. Another is More Power or More Speed switch and motor. And of course, the No Switch and just a hopped up Motor mod too.

What I have seen and am hearing is, there are now as many ways to get power and speed or both as there used to be with the series motors. The deal is, there is more need for the shunt motor tricks than the series motor tricks.

Don't the mods for the shunt motors cost more then for a series motor does? I know the motor itself cost more.

What are these speed tricks your guys are talking about for the series wound motors? I AM VERY INTERESTED I have a villager 6 regen iq system, will these tricks work on my cart? Im new to the club car scene but ez go for a long time.
Please let me in on the tricks NEED MORE SPEED :)

I believe they are reffering to an EMP 2 speed motor. EMP can re-work just about any motor. They make a 2 speed motor that uses a modified F/R switch to switch from torque mode to speed mode. You can also have a single speed motor built. All this is EXTREMELY resonably priced. They are real nice people to deal with too.
