Default EZ GO RXV Axle Tube

Hello. I recently Upgraded to a 2010 EZ GO RXV Cart. I noticed the other day that I am leaking Diff Fluid. Looked underneath and it is coming out of a Plug or Something about 3" away from the Diff on the Drivers Side. This "Plug" is on top of the Axle Tube. Question is: What is the Purpose of this "Plug" and what exactly is it. I'm a big guy so I need to get the Cart on My Ramps and Crawl under to see why it is leaking still but wanted to get some info before I did...

Thanks in Advance...

Sounds like it might be a breather vent. If its new to you maybe they serviced it be fore they sold it to you and added a little to much fluid. Wipe it off and check once in a while.

Yes this is breather vent for RXV axle.
Many shops add gear oil through this vent.
Resulting in over filled differential and leaks/problems.

you may want to remove oil plug on diff cover and check oil level.

A little overfilled is probably good. JUST A LITTLE.... NOT MUCH...

Last edited by HiTechRedNeck; 01-20-2015 at 08:34 PM.. Reason: Please don't overfill by 1/2 cup or more...
