Default Compression

I have good to a little cylinder head compression on my 1997 FE290.....I need to find out if I can get .05 or .010 over sized piston rings.i don't want to bore it out or sleeve it...so where can I get them.or do they make them.im just going to hone the piston cylinder as I have done on lawn mowers and worked well they still running after 4 years...so help me out

Not likely you'll find oversize rings. You would have too much piston skirt to cylinder gap and the piston would slap and rattle in the bore. That can cause your skirt to crack.

Do a light hone and get new std size rings. Might get ya there. Also get some lapping compound and lap your valves in. Redneck rebuild

Standard rings, .25MM Oversized Rings, and .50MM Oversized Rings

Yes, they're still available.
