Default 96 carryall fe350?

a few questions, to determan rotation, should you be looking at the clutch?
How can you tell the differance between a 290 and 350cc? There is not a limiter box mounted on my engine.
Is there a differance in the driven clutchs 96 to 97?
What is the differance in a unitized rearend and not?

Thanks, and keep up the good info... bp0088

The engines with a clockwise rotation will have a sticker on the cooling shroud that says "clockwise" in a yellow arrow pointing in a clockwise direction. And 1997 and newer carts have clockwise rotation engines (while looking at the clutch). 1996 and older have counterclockwise.

There is a code on the carburetor side of the engine right next to the upper front corner of the cooling intake. It will say "FE290DXXXX" or "FE350DXXXX."

There is none on plain carts. It all depends on which model Carryall you have.

The unitized rear end houses the forward, neutral, and reverse assembly as well as the governor and differential. The 1996 and older rear ends have a FNR unit (where your driven clutch mounts) bolted to a differential unit.

No limiter, the cart was in bad looking shape when i got it. been fixing up, but after cleaning old gas, replacing filter and fuel line, replaced, clutches from a doner cart, many adjustments on cable and gov. it will go slow when you want and 21mph with stock tires. Would go 23 but i backed down on gov. It is a carryall 2. I will take a closer look this weekend when i go to the camp. Thanks to all....
