Default G8 Problem?

I have a G8,I it seems to only have one speed fast, whether the peddle is all the way down or just barely pushing on it .Is there some kind of adjustment for this problem or is this normal, and is it an easy fix. Thanks!!

Check to make sure your throttle on your carb is not wide hung open. It may be wired wide open so when you hit the pedal, the pedal switch starts it up and off it goes wide open.

Good advise. Sounds to me like one of the accelrator cables is "bound up" and stuck. Dave
