Default How to quiet a Yamaha Gas cart??

Got a new 2014 Yamaha EFI golf cart and am interested to quieting the engine and exhaust noise down.
Is there any recommended product/insulation to place under the seat on the waffle board seat underside?
Is there any difficulty with it sticking?

Make sure you do not interfere with the cooling. If it's a new cart it's going to be as quiet as it's supposed to be.

Theres a retirement place in florida called the villages and people are putting some type of high temp insulation foam padding underneath the seat and also making a exhaust extension that routes the exhaust out the side of the cart in front of the rear tire. Supposedly helps on exhaust fumes. Thousands upon thousands of carts used in that community.

Order the yamaha G22 body sound deadner 2 pieces, sticks to the inside of the body. No kit available for Ydre, but the G22 kit fits with minor trimming.

I extended the exhaust on mine with a foot of 1/2 copper pipe and a 45 degree elbow. It does help greatly with exhaust fumes, but not so much with noise. My cart's exhaust is pretty quiet to begin with. Most of my engine noise comes from the airbox mods I did after installing Plowman's jet kit.

I'm not an expert at this but how about adding a tip to the exhaust pipe to change the sound/volume. Possibly something baffled of louvered to quiet it some without power loss. Have you looked at any other small engine information on the web? I would also try You Tube. All kinds of informative stuff on there.
