Re: Suspension... shocks
That is China JUNK. No way I'd put that on my cart. They do look cool, but worthless.

Re: Suspension... shocks
Search eBay for fox podium shocks. It took me a bit to find a set that wouldn't break the bank, but I ended up finding a set in great condition for $75. Search "dual rate" shocks also. These are usually adjustable also. Hope this helps.

Re: Suspension... shocks
I started the install of my 4" lift... the rear went flawlessly
the front is still a PITA on the frame, where the a-arms attach, two bolts, one on the front left side and one on the right rear side will not come out... i tried my small 5lb sledge hammer, then i brought out my BFH and gave it a couple of good whacks, almost knocked the cart off the jack stands... those bolts are not going anywhere and i dont want to hit it anymore to cause any possible metal fatigue or damage to the frame.. any suggestions? i doused it in wd40 and i'll try tapping it again tomorrow with my small sledge hammer.. maybe cut them off? but then i'll have just the bolt stuck to the inside... that might not be a good idea either... how do you guys suggest getting them off? |

Re: Suspension... shocks
Douse them with PB Blaster and let it sit for a few hours. Is it all rust under there? You can lift and lower the jack to find the happy medium spot. Sounds like its binding.

i've tried lifting the a arm with the jack, it's not binding.. there is some rust, but the bolts are just seized... it wont twist at all if i put a wrench to it... i'll see if the wd40 i put on last night did anything.. still waiting on my the coffee to brew |
