FWIW......the leaf battery orientation and buss-bar connections would be like this for a 48-V setup: (I did not include the wiring to the ZEVA BMS in this depiction)

Depending on how you put the 14 modules together, it could possibly fit between the frame rails as one pack. It would be tight for sure. The batteries themselves all together measure a little less than 19".

Early DS electric had a narrower frame than a gas cart. towards the end they used the same frame as a gas cart to save production costs.
