EZGO shuttle questions
I've been given a chance at a couple EZGO shuttles, 955E models I believe, and I come seeking guidance from the EZGO gurus.
The carts are 2002 models according to the guy who has them, and he says the batteries are weak at best, and the steering is a little loose. That doesn't worry me a lot, I can replace batteries and tie rods. I'm just looking for advice on what these things go for, and some general info on them. Are they 48 or 36 volt? What are some common issues? Does anyone by chance happen to know the length of one of these beasts? I'd appreciate any and all help with some info on them, they look kinda cool and I could use a people mover for camp. If they're worth it, I'm thinking of buying both and funding the build of one with selling the other. |

Re: EZGO shuttle questions
Attached Parts Manual not quite the right year, but EZGO didn't reinvent the wheel every year, so it ought to be close.
The Service Manual PDF is to big to post on this site, but here is a link to it: http://www.ordertree.com/docs/1047/E...34892G01RS.pdf Weight and dimensions are covered in the last few pages off Service Manual |

Re: EZGO shuttle questions
2002 may need work on the steering if it's too sloppy. Brakes may need attention and I'd look at the battery trays and the frame for rust. Beyond that, may need to grease any zerks and replace differential oil. Batteries are the biggest cost, most of the rest is less money and pretty easy to work on. Make sure the chargers are good.

Re: EZGO shuttle questions
To clarify, there will be rust on the battery trays. This can be cleaned up and coated, just make sure they're structurally sound. They can be replaced.
I'm just pointing out things that may be pointed out for bargaining. As to reasonable costs, they vary by region. Check CraigsList for local prices. |

Re: EZGO shuttle questions
Well, I looked 'em over and they didn't seem too bad, save the missing chargers. They had to go through auction though, and they went too high for me. Each was over 1000, near 1500! Just couldn't be into them for that much and still need batteries (8 6 volts on those) a charger, and front end parts. Thanks for the guidance though guys, I learned a lot about a pretty cool type of cart.

So not the best camp cart but cool where there is pavement. Mine is a flatbed. |
