Default 1995 Club Car DS

Hey everyone. Just picked up a very used 48v DS. Im assuming the batteries are shot and I tried to charge them individually with a 6v charger so I could get the charger to recognize the pack. It was successful and I was getting approx 52v across the pack while charging.

I pressed the accelerator while the charger was still in to see if I'd get any movement. No movement but the reverse buzzer chimed and the solenoid rapidly clicked. With my multimeter, I was getting over 60v on the + side of the solenoid and the - lead of the pack.

I bought the cart not running and hasnt been run in quite some time. It has a D&D 10.2hp motor and altrax 4844 controller.

The batteries are from 2013. I thought I could get enough juice to spin the tires.

Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Do these carts have a safety mechanism that will disable the cart from moving when the charger is plugged in? I had the cart jacked up and charging (pack at 53v) and got nothing when the accel was depressed. Occasionally I'd get a click from the solenoid. The reverse buzzer would chime but that was it. When I bought the cart, the gas pedal was seized and I lubed up the pivot points so it presses and retracts as it should.

The pack drops almost instantly when charger unplugged. I’m not sure I actually tried hitting the accel with the charger unplugged.

I have a 48v ezgo too. What is the possibility of putting the ezgo in tow mode and running jumper cables from the + and - from the ezgo pack to club car + and - leads? Is there any risk of damage to either cart while doing this? They are HD jumper cables which are used for jumping 24v heavy equipment.

Take your meter and let us know the voltage of each battery and the pack voltage.

While on the charger all 6 batteries are just shy of 9v and the pack ranges from 53-56v. Once I take it off the charger they drop significantly. Within a half hour pack is down to 40v. Next morning pack is down to 20.. I know my batteries are shot. Just trying not to buy a new pack just to see if the cart works.
